Southport Photographic Society
The society was founded in 1890, making it one of the oldest photographic societies in the the country. It is also one of the best-known, thanks to our Annual National Open Exhibition which attracts entries from the UK’s leading photographers. In October we will be celebrating our 130th Anniversary.
Yet despite the society’s age and fame, SPS is simply a diverse group of photographers with skill levels ranging from beginner to experienced, who meet to chat and share knowledge every Monday from September to April.
Our programme includes a variety of photographic talks and presentations as well as competition nights for new and advanced photographers.
So if you are interested in photography, why not join our society, meet likeminded people and learn even more about this fascinating activity? Membership is now half price for the 2020/21 season and you are cordially invited to try our Monday night Zoom meetings as a guest. There’s no obligation to join; but who knows what just one visit might develop into? We look forward to meeting you.
